MANILA LRMC PROJECT

Phar has been actively involved in the developement and implementation of smart cities around the globe.

In Manila, 20 stations have been completely renovated under the supervision of PHAR and LRMC Station Improvement Teams. A major overhaul project that concerns the lighting and electrical conduits. The stations have also undergone a structural redesign while ”roof rehabilitation” and paintings together with new walkways, escalator and elevators will provide greater convenience to passengers.

Improvements have been made in term of Design, Safety and Digitalization, while new softwares and wifi capability been introduced in the stations.

PROGRESS OVERVIEW

LAMP POSTS fitted with wireless access points + LED digital screens while new ones will have CCTV, real time hazard warning, Wi-Fi access points, small cell sites.

DIGITAL SCREENS to be used for Advertising, Parking, Traffic and congestion updates, Weather updates, Maps, Local events.

INTERNET KIOSKS with high speed connectivity will be mounted on pavements capable of :Mobile phone charging and Interactive map display and messaging Wi-Fi to be used by residents / office going crowds in Makati.

both city wide and localised
messaging, as well as advertising

INTERACTIVE
(1) A Portal that Wi-Fi users see when logging
in to the Makati system. This can be used to
display useful information, updates, news and
partner messages
(2) Kiosks in pedestrian areas
with screen displays that also
have VOIP calls, usb charging
and SOS features.

DATA & INNOVATION

The Open Data Alliance to allow developers to build applications and tools utilising real-time city data:
• Safety (CCTV, Public Alert Systems)
• Traffic
• Pollution
• Retail
• Parking

SMART PARKING

Parking lots will be equipped with an app for parking
attendants that allows one way communication regarding availability of parking.
Parking availability (in real time) will be displayed on the
digital screens enabling less circling of cars (waiting for
parking), eliminating guesswork and helping to reduce
congestion.
